This is probably my favourite brutalist structure anywhere. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but have always admired Manulife as brutalism done right. It's sad to see this happening to it.

The office portion of Manulife changed my life in that it laid the seed which would inspire me to pursue my current career (20ish years ago). I couldn't fathom how something above could be larger than something below.
