Yes it's much clearer now from this photo. The million dollar question is when will the new ramps and hybrid construction from the Gardiner expwy to the DVP began (and end)? Anybody?

Amazing shot! I can finally visualize how they will re-align the Gardiner to allow for development along the Keating channel

Thanks! I was going to do my traditional direct overhead shoot down shot, but I forgot to apply for a zone unlock for west of the Don River before I headed out, so this is as close as I could get to the invisible geo-fence. In a way it actually made for a more interesting shot.

I can't remember exactly, is the idea with the realignment that the new path will roughly follow the green line and all the red lines will be gone?

Those are great shots does anybody know what all that extra room is on bridge over the don?? Future on ramp access or future lakeshore widening??
When this project started the decision on permanent closure of the harbour railway lead line hadn't been made. I'm surprised they didn't come up with a better design to use the space, but I'm sure the placement of the existing Gardener ramps would have limited the options.

The work program currently suggests 2029.

The budget shows substantial completion for the entire Gardiner project (427 all the way to the DVP) in 2030, no money allocated on/after 2031.

* as always these dates are to be taken with a grain of salt. I'm just saying what's written down as of today.

** This project has two major timing asterisks. It is subject to the completion of certain flood protection works for East Harbour, and it is with Metrolinx Zone of Control for the Ontario Line project. So they effectively have a timing veto.
