Hurontario & Dundas back to normal.
Is the raised asphalt lip around the perimeter of track normal? I see in some sections it's level with the road and in some sections it looks almost like a speedbump.

This was likely previously answered but who is to operate the new line?

Is it Metrolinx or MiWay or something else?
I believe Metrolinx said it was Transdev.

I just meant normal in the sene that all directions are open at this intersection. Remember the closure was supposed to last till August originally, which was nuts. It just shows that it can be done faster, if they want to.

I'd assume the raised section is temporary, and that the top (final) layer of asphalt hasn't been done yet.

You see similar around maintenance holes, etc., during construction of new subdivisions, where the final asphalt layer isn't installed until most of the houses are built (years later sometimes).

Oh for sure, I wasn't questioning that. Dundas was a pinch point for everyone. Its not surprising to see they had crews working 24/7. Even better that they had dedicated rail crews on site ensuring everything was laid within spec. It would be terrible to see them have to shut down the intersection to redo it again.

Phase 2 is going to be frustrating for those in Brampton when the extension happens because much like Hurontario/Dundas moving a significant amount of traffic, the same can be said for Hurontario/Steeles.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping, especially because the intersection of Hurontario and Ray Lawson would behave like a speed bump given how high from the asphalt it is.
