Line 5 (Eglinton Crosstown LRT) underground station boxes are typically built to a standard length of 150 meters.`
These dimensions provide flexibility for the system:
  • Platform size: The physical passenger platforms housed inside the station boxes are built to a length of 95 meters. (3 car trains.)
  • Future expansion: The remaining space inside the 150-meter box is blocked off by cinder box partitions. If capacity needs to be increased in the future, these partitions can be removed to accommodate longer trains. (5 car trains.)
I've never heard that they were expandable past 90 metres or so. Do you have a reference for this? (Perhaps it's because the conversion is 5 meters equals 3 metres)

Originally from 2022 for 2 car train platforms they changed it to 3 car train platforms, from https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/toronto-eglinton-line-5-crosstown-west-extension-m-s-metrolinx.28144/post-1801332

Leaving room to expand to 5 car train platforms.

They didn't build those extra areas that could be used to expand beyond three cars, that plan is very old, before Metrolinx took it over.
That plan is very old, but is it true they never built that area?

From Mount Pleasant, it does not look like the station box is longer than 90 metres...
