I am likely in the wrong thread or grossly misinformed as usual but what is this?!

Considering The Pemberton is currently under construction on the north block, I don't see how this would be possible.

I know but I think that it is odd that this huge project is on the very up to date website. Also this looks like a substantial increase in density/units. But I do like the aesthetics. Very Hamburg/London!

Johnny Strides with his recent walkthrough of the Cumberland Terrace. Seems like he comes by every half a year or so for some easy dead mall content. We'll likely have to live through at least a few more of these videos before anything starts.

I love how I walked by this location today and they have two different notices around the corner from each other. For a second, I thought it was two different projects but it's the same address...

Wonder if this is getting ready to move ahead. I walk through it every two weeks on my way to get a haircut and have seen more of the few remaining stores close up. Today I think it’s down to just the nail place .. all others closed from what I can see.

The Most recent docs show NOAC in place, with revisions in June '25 - @Paclo

But there are no pending or issued permits, so work is not imminent.

I think the builder needs to make a decision. Seeing this place go is sad.

…oh, I just realized it’s KingSett..there won’t be any movement here until another developer buys it up…if that. >.<

Alas nothing but rental being built at the moment. I'm not complaining; rental is needed. Have condo prices hit rock-bottom? In terms of actual value, not market value, they still seem overpriced, and if sales remain ice-cold, the market agrees.

Does anyone have insight about when the official groundbreaking and shoring will begin?
I’m currently looking at a low-floor unit in the immediate vicinity. I’m concerned about the upcoming noise and dust pollution. Does anyone know if heavy excavation is expected to fully ramp up within the next 5 years? Trying to gauge the impact on local residents before moving. Thanks in advance!

None of us has a crystal ball.
Although, I can assure you, no one is starting construction on 1800 unsold condo units this year, next year or probably for many many more years after that.
Now, there's always the chance this proposal becomes a rental project that starts getting built in the next 12-months, for all we know.
But, more than likely, Kingsett will do what they usually do here - which is absolutely nothing for years on end.
