It is surprising that they predicted 2015 considering this was well before the condo boom when downtown development was in a slump. And even more surprising that it's taking even longer than that.
and 8 Widmer (Central condos)Well - they (Concord Adex) did pick up some additional adjacent sites along the way - including Panorama (Lake Shore and Dan Leckie Way), and the residential components of West Block - selling those projects would have contributed to the timeline by which the Concord Canada House site, being the last one, was ready to go into sales.
Not really applicable as it's not part of the CityPlace master plan. Same with Park Place. Sure, it's Concord in Toronto, but it's not CityPlace per se.
For Concord's standards, they probably consider this their masterpiece (as sad as that is).I remember all the talk many years ago over "Signature" tower and the expected finale at CityPlace.
It's safe to say this definitely doesn't meet those expectations (or hopes).
it's almost wierd to think that CityPlace is actually going to be "complete" after this development.. It's been such a large part of the Toronto development landscape for so long.

Haha, are we sure it's the last? and that there's not still a sliver of land somewhere around there that they can built onWell - they (Concord Adex) did pick up some additional adjacent sites along the way - including Panorama (Lake Shore and Dan Leckie Way), and the residential components of West Block - selling those projects would have contributed to the timeline by which the Concord Canada House site, being the last one, was ready to go into sales.
Almost like they might have called it the Signature Tower(s), or something like that.
Thank God.They do not.
