While BikeShare might be the correct term, CityBike can sound nice and cool to say. And it's not really corporate pandering because we don't have Citi Bank in Canada.
These better accept the physical cards, I don't want to use the app.
Good question, I'm not sure. It has an option to tap, but I don't know what it supports or what's compatiblethese better accept the physical cards, I don't want to use the app
I don't see a slot to insert them in the photo though, maybe you'll be able to tap them?
do we know any upcoming queensway corridor ones? any in the confirmed works?Since my last report, we're up another 10 or so Bikeshare stations on a net basis, now sitting at 971. So another 70-90 to go by years' end, hopefully.
A few added in the Don Mills/Eglinton area:
Aga Khan Museum
Don Mills / Rochefort
Don Mills / Gateway (south)
Don Mills /Barber Green Rd
Here, clustered together with some older stations:

I've encountered a couple of problems with using the app.My membership just expired, and the card was a great option. Though sometime in the last year unlocking via the app became much better and faster to the point where occasionally I'd just scan the QR code instead.
I've encountered a couple of problems with using the app.
1. The bike is there, locked, shows as part of the available bikes at a station, and is not Red (out of service), but somehow it is not registered as being available in the app.
2. Someone has defaced the QR code or the key-able number (usually just a digit or two; I suspect this is to leave a bike as personally available to them).
Otherwise the app is extremely good now, and (as I've posted before) often recognizes and immediately unlocks the bike when the code is first visible to the camera

Wonder if we’ll start to see e-bike charging docks at certain locations! Also hoping these docks are a bit more durable
Hoping the app will eventually support iOS widgets and Shortcuts so we can instantly launch the QR scanner from our lock screens!
I would also love Live Activities when I have a bike rented so I can see elapsed time and perhaps also an alert if a dock I’m navigating to has become filled and instantly reroute me to the nearest empty dock
The 37 locations from the API:There are already at least 37 e-bike charging stations scattered throughout the city, but more would be welcome.
There needs to be a way to indicate on the bike share app which stations offer e-bike charging, as well as ensure more of the stations have this capability. Would help reduce the amount of down time for them. The 37 locations from the API:
