I used to live nearby on Montmorency years ago and it is a very nice area to live in, really quiet. Unfortunately a little bit isolated in terms of amenities though, especially since the grocery store at Greenhill and Mt. Albion closed. Hopefully they'll start doing something with that property soon.

It was a great area to grow up. I worked part-time at the Fortinos for years in the late-80s and early 90s and it was life-changing. All the friends that I see most often are connected in some way to that store. And it was walking distance from home.

Won't be anything done to the plaza while the height-police are on standby. The existing 10-12 storey buildings in the area never would have been built today (at least not without a fight)

Four days ago before the last crane removal with balcony glass has been installed.

I walked to the top of the site and my shoes got mud. There’s is tire tracks with equipment moving around on the city’s public park property.

Yesterday: Dismantling of the tower crane in the evening while in the area after my work but i did not get a pic because i didn’t have my phone on me. @Paclo

Walking around the area today, I pictured the proposed Greenhill development and the parking lots behind the plaza being redeveloped and connected to the Albright Trails. It could become a public square for the neighborhood, featuring cafés, restaurants, and service businesses.

There are already about 10,000 people living in the neighborhood, and this development could increase that number to more than 12,000. Demand for the area should also grow, given that it's only a 10-minute drive from Confederation GO Station. HSR plans to have route 11 connect with Confederation GO station, I estimate that would be a 15-20 minute bus ride.

The last photo was taken about a 10–15 minute walk from the apartment. I wanted to highlight how accessible nature trails would be from the proposed development.

For the HSR service in Vincent/Red Hill neighborhood to Confederation Go Station the 11 Parkdale and 4 Bayfront buses with a transfer to take route 2 barton it takes around 20 minutes bus ride with a 15 minute walk to go station from Barton at Centennial, total time from Greenhill at Mt Albion around 44 to 48 minutes.

Possibly for 2026 Fall Service changes could bring a new route with limited morning and afternoon trips.

I understand right now the connection to Confederation GO from Vincent/Red Hill is poor, however, HSR's plan for the future will connect this neighborhood directly to Confederation GO.
