The last assessment determined that the building was too degraded to retain. As far as I recall, the plan is to rebuild the heritage façade using as many salvaged parts as possible. I can't think of another example of when this has been done in Toronto, so this should be an interesting project.

A new cover-letter from BOUSFIELDS was added to AIC today - "The structure was recently demolished and the façade will be replicated as a part of the new building."

Curious to see the quality of the reconstruction here. The developers have saved huge sums by getting to take this approach; the detailing and materials had better be first rate.
How do you rate the similar "Remove and Rebuild" heritage process at the Lake Shore & Bathurst Loblaw's site from a few years ago..?

This SPA resubmission affirms the prior CoA approvals along with technical revisions.
NOAC has not been issued.
No permits have been issued post-demolition but there is Feb 2025 examination activity on the shoring permit file.
