Seems weird they developed on this parcel of land before they developed across the street, it is where all of the other mid rises are and it seems pretty close to the pretty size for another mid rise apartment building.

Can't develop land you don't own!

I'm not sure who owns the land across the street, but they did submit a development inquiry about a potential 20-storey building to the City in 2022:
