The choice of contrasting brick colours has confused me on this project (either stay with red or use yellow as the contrast, which is historically common) but the ground floor here looks fantastic.

Agreed. I think a darker brown brick that looks a little weathered could have looked really nice.

Seriously though, SO glad they are painting those cornices.. look MUCH better.. and yeah the podium is a bit of a mishmash but whatever.. they most likely alternated so it wouldn't look odd connecting to the existing heritage building out back/front? Which is the front and which is the back of this building..?

We already had one, and his name was forced out.
