Expecting the Crane to start lifting wall-panels in the next few weeks.
JUNE. 2nd, 2026 - Start-of-Month Update

In just 3-months, this 6-Storey building has now "Topped-Out" at Coxwell & Gerrard...

...and it probably would have been even FASTER it they used a cement-panel system for the Fire-Stairs and Elevator-Shafts instead of Block-Masonry.

Sometimes, your sarcasm is hard to detect.

This building has risen at a rate of 1 floor per 4 weeks, approximately, which is roughly 2 x the industry norm for tower form, and 3x or greater the Centrecourt gold standard.

I mean sure, at least this wasn't the 1 floor per year pace over on Logan, LOL.... but it was not particularly speedy.

It is FASTER than any 6-Storey Building that I have seen in the Toronto-Danforth or Beaches East-York zones south of Danforth in the last 20+ years.

Pretty comparable to Two Hundred the Beach which was June 2016 - December 2016 for comparable size.

Slightly faster than Lakehouse on Queen. First picture of construction shows work starting on the 3rd floor in July 2016, and again nearing completion at year's end.

Not any faster than Beach Club on Kingston Road, which was in the six month range for similar work, indeed Beach Club had the windows fully in within that time window, this project does not.

Canvas Condos on Danforth was ~ 8 months but for 8 floors, much larger building to reach full height and having cladding in progress.

Danny Danforth was ~10 months but was 10 storeys from grade to early glazing.

****

So nope, not really any faster than most comparably sized builds; you're just more excited about this one! :)

PS. not giving you a hard time, you made me curious, so I went to UT's map, screened for completed projects in the area around the same height/size and looked just to see if my memory was bad, it wasn't.

A floor a month is fairly common for inexperienced builders Best in class is a floor every 7-10 days, with 2 weeks being more common, but that only applies once you reach repetitive floors.
