Update: Sorry for the page bump...but it appears this thing is almost topped out. Still no cladding I can discern of though...
At this point there's gotta be a crane graveyard somewhere. Or, maybe I was overreacting, a retirement home at least, where 50 of them are flaked out on the ground, enjoying the spring weather.
Limen keeps theirs out in their yard at 189 Weston Road: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.669...try=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMxNi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==At this point there's gotta be a crane graveyard somewhere. If any of our drone operators would be into some photography of the sites, that could result in some cool imagery (if someone would like to start a new Crane Yards thread in the Photos and Videos forum?)!Limen keeps theirs out in their yard at 189 Weston Road: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.6694041,-79.4618898,3a,82.4y,103.92h,99.09t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1suzyGb3gnb63hh8ffHHJpIQ!2e0!6shttps://streetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com/v1/thumbnail?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&w=900&h=600&pitch=-9.09181752419883&panoid=uzyGb3gnb63hh8ffHHJpIQ&yaw=103.91916338171765!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMxNi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==
The pile has certainly gotten bigger in the past few years.
No tower cranes, but there are a whole bunch of heavy vehicles including shoring machines and mobile cranes now stored at this yard off Rockcliffe: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.6742753,-79.4864273,3a,75y,203.35h,88.79t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1shHhsG8kjg46iMmrltngUTQ!2e0!6shttps://streetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com/v1/thumbnail?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&w=900&h=600&pitch=1.2097680196163054&panoid=hHhsG8kjg46iMmrltngUTQ&yaw=203.34736796539778!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMxNi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==
There are similar facilities up in Vaughan and out in Markham serving the same purpose. All these [very expensive] machines have to go somewhere as they won't be getting used for some years to come.
