Yes, I am upset Chine (next door) is gone.
I wonder what will become of that now.
I also wonder what new stores or restaurants will go in on the main level once all this construction is complete...?

cant wait for them to complete the facade! really glad they went with brick.
Our original idea was to emanate the brick facades, (to some degree) the detailing and window openings, of the brick warehouses farther down Spadina Ave. It fits the context and is essentially continuing the same language up the street. The proportions of the building were based on the warehouse buildings, as well, albeit slightly taller.

I am quite curious however, to see how the metal facade turns out - not to mention if the metal detailingI did around the building will be retained or ultimately VE'd out?

*Edit - Just an example of a brick warehouse - not for any other purpose than showing the massing and overall look along Spadina Ave 49 Spadina Ave.
