Was biking by this site this weekend. I see they are creating a park at the north end of the site - but I think the real potential is to expand and highlight the existing small natural ravine (a bit overstatedly known as Douglas Greenbelt). Maybe that is already being factored in - but a linear park with shade and natural vegetation could be a lot more inviting and all-year useful than low-end square space with some park benches (which is what we might end up with). This current ravine also badly needs a ravine cleanup....

I agree.

In terms of what is proposed, if you look at the images above your post, the area in green and red, between the proposed road and the Greenbelt, that area is net new added to the ravine (currently parking lot).

I too think a different site organization that added more space to the ravine would have been preferable. But it is getting some benefit.
