$2560 does not seem unreasonable for a one bedroom in Toronto does it?

Is that a trick question? LOL

In terms of where the market is; its not outlandish, though outside downtown, not super close to a subway....its closer to fully priced than not.

But if one is evaluating reasonableness, one would want to compare the rent to median income and to the 30% rule. In that context.........its excessive. However, that's more on government and employers than developers of rental housing.

I would say that $2560 for a 1 bedroom feels a bit on the high side, especially with ongoing reports of rents dropping in the city. Although newly completed purpose built rentals typically charge more, albeit sometimes with incentives. I reckon they're likely trying to factor this as within relative distance to the Bathurst & Eg Crosstown stop when it opens. And the location may appeal to the more well to do folks in the Forest Hill area who are trying to downsize but still stay within the community.

It’s the additional $250 for parking that gets me!

But at least there are parking spots.

Newer builds won’t have parking, you will get a bike, bus or walk.

I like my vehicle. 🚗

Is this owned by the city?
