No new renderings are updated in the database. The total unit count changes from 1473 units to 2021 units. The full bike parking changed from 1700 bike parking to 1642 bike parking.

🤔 What's going on here..........

~+550 units only 2 months after the initial submission?

- Bike parking goes down, contrary to City by-law

No cover letter or planning addendum explaining......

Now i'm very curious to know what in the planet is going on with this proposal, this is way too excessive for this site.

This thing's been chudding around since 2014. They're in no hurry and neither should anyone else be...

Which begs the question of why one sees a large change in the number of units only 2 months post-submission. That's relatively rare; and without the planning addendum or a cover letter, it feels kinda rushed.

Some news on this one.

First, it's the subject of an Appeals reporting, seeking staff to oppose this at the OLT, at the next meeting of EYCC:

@Paclo

Second item, the OLT hearing has been calendared for September 9th, 2025.

Spotted in this month’s South Etobicoke News. Please excuse the shadow and San Remo doughnut stains.

Did you meet up with @interchange42

And which doughnut did you select?

On the substance above....

Uh.....1,000 to 3,000 is a 200% increase....... math is a thing.

Merit Hearing is scheduled for September 9, 2025.

...is there some sort of weird disconnect with folks here that building to add more people infact increases a community and not the other way around?

There is a Settlement Offer here heading to next week's Council meeting:

Comments:

The layout remains wrong, in respect of the parkland. The parks on the south side, between the proposed buildings and the Lake should be consolidated to the waterfront park system, and the road re-aligned to the north.

This should remain feasible, based on the Settlement, but the design needs to reflect this as a re-aligned road would see relocation of the sewer and watermain, and other utilities. It would be ridiculous to build connections between this development and the utilities where they are, only to relocate them later.

Lake Promenade is a relatively nice, quiet segment of the Waterfront Trail. If this goes ahead, they should consider road blocks to split the road into two or three pieces. That way, drivers won't be able to use it for through traffic, and it will be more bike-friendly.
