This will go before next week's Design Review Panel on March 13:

7 towers ranging from 26 to 30 storeys, a total of 2186 residential units, commercial space & community space.

Interactive 3D renderings here:
The Barton frontage looks much better here, firstly. It’s also clear now they don’t own that other parcel that properly fronts onto it, which probably plays into why there’s so much internal action…

Wow, though- lots of $$ renders that show interesting design considerations above the bare minimum. Hard to imagine this isn’t doable as a phased buildout. Is the tabletop 30s any good? No, but that can be addressed. Curious what the parking plan is- if it’s minimal, then this quickly becomes viable like the Design District did. Any development at this location would change the area a lot, so if that’s what this is trying to catalyze, then it looks more prudent.

So the question remains- Is it just a flip play? Or perhaps something more?

Wonderful render and 3D site, way too much copy and paste IMHO. Still don't see this will ever happen.

This isn't towers in the park in the slightest. That term is so misused on this forum.

Too many towers for the site size; particularly needs more open skyview on the west side of the site. '

I would take no issue w/going higher to achieve this.

Probably requires additional assembly, but the proposal doesn't address Barton well.

It's a bit too towers in the park for me. I'd also prefer variation on the heights

I suspect that the nearby helipad for Hamilton General is guiding much of the squat nature of the development.

The phasing on this would be well beyond 20 years. I was skeptical on the Design District, and was proven wrong. That being said, I think there are no less than another 6 towers relatively adjacent to the towers now under construction that I would see happening way before Ferguson gets any love.

I wouldn't count on that. Helicopters fly vertically. Look at St Michael's helipad downtown Toronto. Surrounded by much higher towers than this.
