The current Communications House building at the south-west corner of McCaul and College is set to be approved as a new Undergraduate Residence site for the University of Toronto.
The relevant report is headed to the next meeting of the University's Planning and Budget Ctte.
From the above:
The University will be making use of its powers of approval granted by the province, but will still be voluntarily submitted a scoped SPA to the City.
That is due in June 2026.
Further Timeline:
Occupancy is targeted for the Fall 2030-2031 school year.
Comment: Communications House is an ugly mid-century building unworthy of retention or commemoration
