Given that much of the "employment" uses here are office, I think that this MAY be affected by the office market, AND the new Provincial Planning Statement, which redefines "employment area", excluding office (unless associated with manufacturing or warehouse uses, similar to corresponding 2024-10-20 changes to "area of employment" under the Planning Act), and which also allows for employment conversions to be done at any time (no longer limited to time of a municipal comprehensive review of the OP)

Great! There is a great retail strip on Liberty past the stadium as well as the new buildings at Dufferin/Bloor.

Yeah, I’m definitely not in favour of this one. The old brick-and-beam factories in west Liberty Village are among the few things that give the area any character. It’s also a creative industry hub, and it should stay an employment area, rather than another cash-in that provides nothing back to an area that deserves better.

I think this area of Liberty Village in its current form is pretty bad and does the historic architecture a disservice. However, I don't think we need to make this a hyper-dense community.

The model for urban development here should be more Vieux-Port and less Garrison Point.

This would also be a great area to build out the city's nightlife and cultural scene and for that reason should stay primarily as employment lands. Noise complaints kill culture and Toronto is running out of space for people to be loud and have fun.

I felt like this is overwhelmingly what I hear. The disdain of new towers here is not so much NIMBYism, but that this space was meant for something better then what we are getting. Liberty feels like it could have been a Distillery District. I could have swear that this is what ppl imagined would have happened in the beginning.

Getting rid of the parking spot minimums was a huge mistake. I wouldn't buy a place without it.

The market is a snap shot of today. Buyers can barely afford a shoe box. (700 something units in 55 storeys) A car is out of reach than it being "a lot less" desirable than 25 year ago. With that said, Toronto can't continue to add more parking spaces with the number of homes being built in the greater downtown area and with roads shrinking.

A few new buildings in West Liberty Village are quite good, like 80 Atlantic (Universal Music) or 99 Atlantic. They have good commercial spaces at ground level, and provide more employment spaces for the types of industry that’s already located in the area.

We should have more of that around LV instead of this investorbox dreck.
