reminds me of this beauty (not) at Woodbine and Gerrard

The City really ought to consider some kind of incentive to fix that, at least in part. I imagine the residents would balk at losing all the parking, but may even removing just a few spaces and adding one, street-facing retail unit at-grade here would help; and maybe covering the exposed columns in brick and adding some attractive screening.

Does anyone know the status of this development?
I pass by this intersection often and I’ve noticed that the proposal sign has been taken down.
If anyone has information please let me know
Thanks

Generally, members will post any news, if we have it.

That said, the proposal still shows as 'under review' in the City's Planning App. But there is no indication of any activity since last summer when a Notice of Complete Application was issued.

There is no indication of any appeal to the OLT.

Do you mean the City's Blue and White notice board?

Yes that’s what I meant. Thank you so much for trying to help!

Again, does anyone know what is happening here?

^^^ What the @#$@ have these people (new 'builder' and 'architect') done?

They took something from professionals with talent and vision and completely and utterly massacred it.

There is no shame in this world......I would be embarrassed to produce or market this crap.

O how very Toronto like to scale back the design to absolute crap after getting everyone’s hopes up with the first submission (which was a gem)

This design takes elements from a selection of the city's worst buildings and combines them all into a single, nightmare structure! It's stunning; the whole is a far greater horror than the sum of its parts.
Maybe the new owners specifically told their new architects "we don't think this area of town is soul-crushing enough, give us 'overbearing spandrel-nightmare' please!" If that happened, and there's evidence it did, I'd say this team has really delivered! :D
