Not sure why so many are down on this project.

It's a well-designed 'background' building that respects the character of the strip. Are we expecting an Alsop for an east-end community housing building?

I'd say the existing (former) church is among the only buildings worth saving along this dreadful stretch of Gerrard. The new building looks like it'll blend in perfectly with that goddamn miserable apartment thingee to the east and help inch the block closer to that charming Sudbury EI office look we seem to be going for!
