I am very lazy and didn't go through all of the threads but is this going ahead?

Not currently.

It is approved; but the permits are stalled and the applicant does not appear to have addressed that at all in the current year.

Back from the dead????

First activity I've seen on this file in a bit.

Well, at least they're still talking? .............about the need for this to take a few more years...............

This one is at C of A on November 27th for the unusual reason of extending permissions for a temporary elevator constructed to service the provincially owed site to the south.

New Minor Variance application with the following stat changes:
  • Storey counts changed from 46 & 32 to 41 & 33
  • Heights changed from 155.20 & 113.30m to 137.75 & 109.7m
  • Total residential units decreased from 770 to 769
  • Total ARH units increased from 212 to 233
  • Total vehicular parking decreased from 200 to 93
  • Total bike parking increased from 780 to 810
  • Commercial / retail space has been completely removed. Childcare is now the only non-residential use.
And the primary architect changed from Sweeny &Co to Graziani + Corazza. There is currently no indication that Sweeny is still attached. No new renderings. Renderings currently in the database reflect the previous, Sweeny design.

Updated ground floor plan & elevations:

CoA hearing for this is tentatively scheduled for July 30th.

No updates on permit activity since @Northern Light 's post above. All necessary build permits including demolition were submitted in 2021 and have had examination activity as of 2025. NOAC has not been issued on the original SPA file.

No apparent changes to Choice REIT's or Greenwin's project pages for this. Or the public consultation page here, all of which reflect the previous Sweeny design:

Greenwin is actually claiming this is under construction on their page...

That's G + C? It looks more refined than their usual schlock...

That's the old render. Not clear here if they are just doing 'working drawings' of the previous design, subject to the modifications noted by @Paclo or whether this is a more substantive re-work/cheapening.

...not sure they need to rework it. Lot's of opportunities to spam cheap spandrel in the last renders. Just think Peter and Adelaide! >.<

Strange micro-adjustment to the SECTION-37 deal on the Affordable Rental units without much wrap-around "context" material from the Staff in the notification about the - "additional Two (2) affordable housing units for the property".

Every LITTLE bit helps, I guess -- we will have to wait for a more detailed response when the full STAFF REPORT is posted to TMMIS in early-September which explains the details behind -
  • Total ARH units increased from 212 to 233 (????)

@Paclo already gave us the deets up thread......but since @HousingNowTO made me look here..........

A few things........first a graphic summary of the deets:

Second...

The C of A approved the above changes, with the Decision Notice issued August 7th, the last day for an appeal was August 19th. I see no evidence any was filed.

Third, September 18th is a meeting of TEYCC.......... as agendas are normally posted for CC's two weeks in advance, the report should be available on Thursday, September 4th, or at least that week.

...that is a GREAT slide... every Staff Report should be required to have a slide like that.

We can quibble about the 🔴RED (Denotes 'BAD') and 🟢 GREEN (Denotes 'GOOD') colour-choices on their Graphic-Design formatting -- BUT at least it communicates the clear factual numbers for comparison at a "GRADE 4, 5 or 6" level of reading and math comprehension. Which should be the standard for public-facing summary materials. ✅
