I believe the PATH extension was quietly cancelled due to budget concerns.

I hope that the PATH tunnel is extended north on Wellington to the TD Centre, but…

The bit that was built under Front was unbelievably expensive, over $100 million, for the little we got. Without an extension to the TD Centre and all the connected tunnels up there, though, it's a total waste, another stubway that will serve too few people.

My understanding was that the whole thing was 100 million, split roughly 40/60 for phase 1 and 2.

I'm amazed at how little coverage the cancellation seems to have received, but I believe I remember seeing that council quietly redirected the funds for the second phase to cover the union station budget overruns.

Agreed on phase 1s usefulness, or rather its uselessness.

August 6 2016. Progress along Gerrard between Yonge and Church.

Interesting that they are restoring the brick pattern along the curbline. I had assumed it was an old practice.

City of Toronto continues that in the downtown core, outside of downtown it's a traditional poured curb gutter.

I noticed today that Shuter and Richmond are finally more or less done. The bike lane is now open on Richmond again (at least from Victoria to York), and Shuter appeared done when I passed southbound at Victoria on my bike. The bike lanes finally extend to Yonge, too.

Queen somehow still isn't completed - though its getting close. This year was only a repave and watermain replacement - the street still needs a diversion again next summer to finish the sidewalks.

Also, the city has released TOinView for 2017, meaning we can now see what is planned next year. A lot less major construction this year..

What I found:

- O'Keefe lane reconstruction - between Gerrard and Queen, with a gap around 10 Dundas.
- Victoria Lane reconstruction - between Gould and Queen
- Church repave - Wellington to Colbourne
- Wellington bike lane installation- Church to York - not really sure what this is. Anyone know anything about it?
- Gladstone / Peel reconstruction - between Queen and Dufferin - this will implement a master plan they had for the street done a while ago.. they have been waiting for the development nearby and the dufferin bridge expansion to do this
- Installation of the Druro Street bridge - new pedestrian bridge from Liberty Village to King street west of Strachan
- Brock Avenue bike lane installation - Queen to Bloor - again, not really sure what is involved here. There are already sharrows and its a pretty tight street
- Sorauren Avenue bike lane installation - Queen to Dundas - same as Brock Street
- Queensway Reconstruction - West of King/Queen/Roncesvalles/Queensway intersection - this is a complete rebuild and a new TTC ROW will be introduced through here. Probably the biggest project on the list
- Parliament Reconstruction - Wellesley to Bloor - I believe this also includes the installation of a bidirectional cycletrack on the side of the Cemetery
- Coxwell Reconstruction - Queen to Lakeshore
- Lake Shore Boulevard reconstruction - Leslie to Queen
- Eastern Avenue Reconstruction - Pape to Winnifred
- Queen Street East - Bathurst to Spadina - reconstruct sidewalks to complete 2016 work
- Dundas and Victoria Streetcar track reconstruction - rebuild of this complicated streetcar intersection
- Palmerston Bike Lanes - Bloor to College - not sure what these are, I believe just sharrows
-Yonge/York st Gardiner off ramp reconstruction - shortens the ramp to end at Simcoe. Work is ongoing and I believe will stretch into 2018.
- York Street Streetcar track reconstruction - King to Wellington
- Dundas / Parliament Streetcar track repacement - replacement of streetcar tracks at intersection
-

Also, while Bloor is listed between Church and Parliament, this has apparently been pushed back to 2019 to sychronize construction with the reconstruction of the Parliament / Bloor intersection. This may have pushed back the parliament reconstruction as well, I'm not really sure.

T&EY Community Council approved this on Nov. 15th.

This is far more than a "bike track' project". The TTC tracks from Church/Colborne along Wellington to York are eing redone. The whole of Wellington from Church to Yonge is being reconstructed. If you are using TOinView you need to look at water and TTC and utility construction in addition to 'Transportation" projects to get the full picture.

TTC tracks on Wellington are in rough shape and long over due for replacement, as well the street.

Not sure where it is in TTC budget or the Road work, but Richmond & Victoria intersection track work stills need to be done. This includes replacement of switches, unless I miss it already. It maybe delay until the condo is built.

The south side of Richmond between Church-Victoria will be done after the Yonge & Rich Condos is build. Not sure if Richmond between Bay-York has been rebuilt yet, but the north sidewalk has been rebuilt.

The Queensway ROW and Dundas Victoria intersection will be 2 areas to stay away from when work starts on them.

Victoria from Queen to Adelaide (including the intersection with Richmond) was rebuilt in last decade (the Queen/Victoria intersection last year).
All TTC track and streetwork on Richmond from Church to York is now 99% finished. (Except for sidewalk on south side at Yonge $ Rich)
Dundas & Victoria intersections will be done in 2017
Remainder of Victoria (Dundas to Queen) is scheduled for 2018 - it is in dreadful shape!

If they can remove the one lane of taxi's idling it makes perfect sense. If not...then will traffic be down to one lane?

And why not extend it all the way along Wellington? Does the city staff protest at removing their illegal parking privilege near Metro Hall?

If they built the entire Wellington stretch it creates a great east-west connection all the way from Liberty Village to downtown.

Thanks, as I couldn't recall when the intersection was done for Richmond. The last I saw of Richmond west of Bay, it still needed to be done.

As for Victoria from Queen-Dundas, 2018 so the hospital can be completed in 2017 and in real poor shape. Also allow for work on Massey 2 projects.
