Read the letter from the MLA from Slave lake. Not happy that Edmonton and Calgary are getting any money. Since The Rural regions and the economic heart of the province.
This is the problem when oil prices are languishing, they do not look like financial wizards any more and can not spend in all places each year. So this year, some in Edmonton to try even out that Calgary got more previously.

Maybe next year rural Alberta will get more, but with this MLA's approach he may not be in caucus to benefit from that.

When 1/2 to 2/3rds of population live in Metro Efmonton and Metro Calgary its only common sense that the cities will get a larger slice of the pie. Want more money increase your economic and population footprint.like Red Deer has continued to do. Honestly I'd love to see Red Deer see more growth to help create an even stronger economic powerhouse corridor.

He should start pushing for Mineral extraction in his area, O&G and Forestry are the prime industry in the area. But pushing for Stollery would help his constituents.

It's like reading a "Abbott & Costello - who’s on first?" type of analogy. "2 Million to plan for new towers at the Miz and G.Nuns, but next paragraph say "part of a plan to spend $3.8 Billion on health care facilities. The big bucks are ALWYA 3-5 years down the road and when the next government comes in - they cancel, change or switch......so now I’m .succumbing to "political game "FATIGUE" now."

Apparently 'Ol Smitty's plans 2 budgets ago to spend $11 M for the Stollery planning hasn't even passed the Leg yet.....so wtf?!
