Vancouver's building a rapid transit line (the Canada line) with a length of 19 kilometres for $1.9 billion. Over half of it is underground. At that rate, we could build a Downtown line from, say, Finch and Don Mills to Front and Spadina for a similar price. Same story from Eglinton and Don Mills to Dundas West Station.
