Oh yes, that Spadina ROW is very divisive. I would cross to the west side of the street if it wasn't such a chore. Sometimes I am on the east side looking over to those people on the west side wondering what life is like over there. I almost had the courage to cross the great divide but I chickened out at the last minute. Those poor souls living on the west side isolated from the economic benefits provided to those that live on the east.

Actually, comrade, we're doing fine. Long live West Spadina.
 
To me, the Spadina ROW isn't even there to benefit transit, it's there to benefit pedestrians. I love it. It provides a refuge from the overflowing sidewalks, it makes jay walking safe, and it really reduces the highway effect that a street as wide as Spadina has. I use the streetcars once every 5 years and I still love the ROW!
