I found something for the crew here to try.

I haven't tried it myself yet.......

But I'm amused.

I am told they are being stocked in store at Rexall and at Giant Tiger and Wal-mart has them online.

You're saddened by a new snack flavour? Really? LOL

You're being weird even for you.....this after being disappointed that Canadians like hockey....

Nice gentle squid flavour. Not much spice.

The donair one is... A lot. Not bad. It vaguely tastes of donair, with garlic and sour cream dominating, and tomato also detectable. It is very rich, and I (a chip lover) only ate 4 or 5. Not sure if I would buy again, but I will finish the bag

*YAWN* seen 'em all weeks ago at the "new" Humbertown Loblaws (even took a pic!). Did not try. Don't think I ever will, either.

Humbertown always gets stuff first, I've told you that!

Also...though, how can the chief chip connoisseur skip doing reviews? You can't be negligent in your duties like that! LOL

Besides, Evan can possibly eat all 5 bags himself.

None of those flavours appeal to me - I already know I'll hate them all. Also, I'm phasing chips out of my diet...

It's all you, Evan!

Ok, I've tried the peameal bacon (meh, mild "bacon" flavour), and poutine (decent, but not mind blowing – "gravy" flavour dominates) as well.

Based on these, I wouldn't buy them again, and I won't try the other two flavours. Poutine is a C+, Donair is a D and Peameal is a C-. There are better snacks out there

Ty for your sacrifice in testing these for UT'ers, I won't be a buyer of any as a result. Most helpful.

Too bad they don't play more with flavours that can really work.

I like Curried potato chips which are really hard to find these days Years ago there was a Thai flavour that was uniquely ginger forward with some heat that I quite liked too. (neither were PC)

Flavours I think should work, if done well; straight-up garlic, chipotle, good Korean BBQ (soy, pear, gochugaru), Peruvian (Aji Amarillo) among others.

Almost started my post with "Thank you for your sacrifice" then saw Northern Light had started the same way. 😂

As for garlic flavoured chips, a friend bought me straight up fried garlic from Trader Joe's after a business trip to the US and though they're a little strong as a snack rather than as a topping I've liked them enough I'm wondering if there's a version somewhere around here.

I bought the spicy Caesar ones. But first I have to eat the bag of Cheese and Onion World Cup chips with David Beckham on the bag.

Those look good (or at least decent). Lays makes these (likely with a tweaked recipe for the Canadian market) in the UK already.

As for the Caesar chips... I'm curious how they are, though I don't like ketchup chips, nor do I like caesars

I love ketchup chips. I don't drink any more, but also love the flavour of clamato and Worcestershire.

Cheese and onion is a classic chip flavour, so I expect these to be good.

Hilariously, the "Canadian" one that Lays released in Asia is "maple caramel" flavoured. And I really don't know why they think that "french onion soup" comes with cheddar cheese. They would never eat cheddar in France.

Tried the steak and chimichurri Lay's (Messi) chips. Basically tasted like their roast chicken chips - poultry seasoning except a tad stronger onion flavour. Meh.
