i'm in lesbian with this film.
p.s. do you think they will premiere this film in toronto? maybe have broken social scene, sloan and metric put on an awesome Scott Pilgrim themed concert at Yonge and Dundas?

"I play Todd Ingram in the film. The film stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, and he has to defeat seven evil exes of Mary Elizabeth Winstead's character, in order to continue dating her. The seven exes basically challenge Michael, and I play one of them. I'm a vegan rock star with a blonde wig. Because I'm vegan, I have these special powers, the power of telekinesis. So, I end up having this huge bass battle with Michael Cera, as we're playing dueling bass guitars, and I throw him around telekinetically threw walls and such. And my blonde wig becomes a faux-hawk whenever I use my powers, and then flattens back down when I'm not using them.
It's ridiculous, but very funny. It was a character that I was so excited to be able to play. People are probably going to watch the movie not knowing that it's me because I look and act so different. It's going to be an amazing movie. They just did a screening in Vegas, that was very early with not a lot of effects in, but people are really excited about it and saying good things. It's something that people haven't seen before, kinda like 300 was groundbreaking, in visual style. It's going to be one of those film, I think. Like The Matrix was, it's doing something different that nobody has seen before."

Really looking forward to this movie. Haven't read the comic book, but I loved Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead and some of my favorite young actors/actresses are in the movie. It even has Mae Whitman aka Ann Veal ("Who's Ann?)

Run, don't walk and pick up "Spaced". Both seasons are in one boxed set if purchased (disc 1 - season 1, disc 2 - season 2 & disc 3 bonus features), my video store rents the whole set of 3 discs as a 7-day rental. Each episode is 30 minutes. If you liked Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz you'll love Spaced. I cannot wait for Scott Pilgrim, I love Edgar Wright stuff.
Edgar Wright also directed one of the four "faux trailers" that played in between the "Grindhouse" (2007) double bill of "Planet Terror" (dir: Robert Rodriguez) and "Death Proof" (dir: Quentin Tarantino). The two grindhouse films were an homage to b-grade films of the 1970's, intentionally presented with scratches, bad splices and missing frames -

Looks like the Toronto film industry has rebounded with a boom. "Scott Pilgrim" takes some credit for that in the story. I find it interesting that most mainstream Canadian media don't even know this movie is set in Toronto. Once we get closer to its release, expect a lot of delayed fanfare and interest.

as expected, the film will be very faithful to the first three volumes and then diverge from there. hopefully some of the key plot points and character developments of the later volumes remain (i'm lookin at you kim pine).

I'll definitely have to pick that up dt_toronto_geek. I've seen Grindhouse too... trailers were great (Nick Frost was the fat man IIRC)
