Something small likely to come to the northwest corner of the intersection at Dupont and Ossington

Improving Pedestrian Safety at Ossington Avenue and Dupont Street - by Councillor Alejandra Bravo, seconded by Councillor Dianne Saxe

1. City Council authorize the installation of pedestrian crossover (PXO) signage at the right-turn channel at the northwest corner of the intersection of Ossington Avenue and Dupont Street.
2. City Council authorize yield control on the right-turn channel at the northwest corner of the intersection of Ossington Avenue and Dupont Street.

The motion indicates the city knows recognizes Dupont is in urgent need of safety improvements but the redesign in on hold because of 212 so for the time quick implement measures is what we'll get.

Installation of Leaside/Millwood Bridge suicide barrier is out to tender:

This (below) actually happened last year, but I didn't get around to taking a picture of it and I don't recall anyone else posting one.

This is a small segment of Thompson street (just north of Queen and running west off Broadview).

It was closed ...ummm, I think back in 2021, don't hold me to that. But it was 'temporary' until last year.

Here's the before, from Streetview (2021)

While it would make more sense for this to be a provincial or national mandate, it is, nonetheless a positive step.

Side guards have been one of Olivia Chow's crusades for years. From 2011:

Safe to assume the flexiposts instead of a bollards are because of TFS insisting they have a way through?
