Zoning/massing/density study by the City's consultant about 15yrs ago.

A good reminder that we need to retain these kinds of spots.

GoA owned?
I thought Anne Stevenson posted that something exciting was going to be announced for this site...over a year ago?
Maybe it was my imagination or wishful thinking. But yet another example (old BMO site on 101 St., old CWB site on Jasper and 114, Arlington site, old Petroleum Club site on 109St/111Ave, old Knox church site on 109St/83 Ave, numerous sites in Rossdale including the old power pant, etc, etc) of extremely valuable and high potential real estate sitting and festering for years on end. FFFFFFFIXXXXXX AUTO!!!!!!!!!!

If this site is still G of A, well they move at their own pace so I doubt prodding by the city will help it move along any faster.

However, I do agree, there is an overall trend here downtown and in other central areas. It is not good. Some of these sites need more attention by the city.

The GOA says:

ReD TaPe ReDuCtIoN!

The GOA in reality:

Sits on property and does nothing.

More specifically, I thought I'd heard from the owner of Leonardo's Cafe around the corner that his brother had bought up this house and was planning to turn it into some sort of spa / lifestyle business (?). That was just a couple months ago; I find it really hard to imagine they changed their minds that fast unless they discovered that there were some issues that were even deeper than the obvious ones.
