I think we'll need more critical mass of population brought on new developments. We're starting to see more growth in surrounding micro-nodes such as the midrises at St. Clair & Winona, recently completed and in the pipelines buildings at Dufferin & Eg, and the Vaughan Road corridor. But there is potential to improve as Oakwood and Vaughan is a retail strip for activity among the greater area converges. There's been some momentum in recent years beginning with Primrose Bagels, Nonna Lia, and Taco Fuego on Vaughan Rd which was opened by someone who I used to work with.

Nah. Still has a very Portuguese feel. Maybe in 10 years the hipsters will discover it and transform it.
