For all the Burr Oak Fans on this thread.

Just need to give the ones in the park some decades to grow!

A 'sweep' for fixing, repainting, de graffiti-ing etc.

Nip in bud before things continue their decline.
I agree it looks like this park will turn into another version of the Beaver Hills Park, the upgrades to 103A Avenue on 100 Street and the park behind the library. It has been said here many times until the homeless/drug addicts/mentally ill are dealt with in some fashion downtown we will never get people down there. We cannot have anything nice in the city because anything we do seems to get ruined. For example having heated shelters on the valley line LRT. Sorry for the rant. This is all very frustrating.

To be fair 103A Avenue is milesssss better ever since the pharmacy on the corner moved.

The park just needs consistent maintenance, patrols and more foot traffic. I don't even think graffiti is even done by the people on fentanyl tbh.

Just red alert losers.

No comments from the Burr Oak haters?
Not sure what to think since it seems that every 2nd tree the city is planting is one of these things….at least on the south side anyway. They are seem to be barely budding this time of year and seem like an old man’s crooked spine……

People 100 to 300 years from now will be thanking us for the burr oaks we are planting today that survive.
Here's a couple of burr oaks (I think) from tonight during my walk in west Ritchie.
