I wonder if this will be well attended by the tourists, or just be a little known gem only locals frequent?

Locals only have themselves to blame for the fact that tourists stick to Clifton Hill and the downtown is largely dead. Look at the poor transit, the lack of cycling infrastructure (including bike share), and the general lack of investment in the downtown, despite the city getting an incredible amount of visitors and tourist dollars. It doesn't make sense.
