But there is Zui Beer Bar further west in the old Clinton's space, with lots of Japanese style bright neon lights inside!
I'm always tempted to go there just for the cool style but I'm 90% sure they only have crap beer on offer.

My general rule-of-thumb is to avoid any place with interior bright neon lettering/lights - they're meant for instagram posts more than anything else.

Indeed!

Ironically, Browns Shoes was here before where Uniqlo is now. They left a few years ago without any thought of coming back although they were sorely missed.

As for Winners, I hope it is more like Markville than the Eaton Centre. The Eaton Centre store is not the greatest.

I was in here yesterday (August 17th 2025) during their soft opening.

It is fair sized and I am impressed by their selection. Itis the complete opposite of the Eaton Centre store and more akin to Marshalls in Markville.

As somewhat of an antique, I recall when that area of the mall was a Cineplex Odeon. Walking into the store, it is hard to believve that they shoehorned a movie theatre into that space and it makes sense they relocated in 1998.

I'm not anti KK, but they have a mass produced, mid product. I cannot get excited

The problem w/KK to me is simply that they are way, I mean waaaaay too sweet.

They sugar glaze the dough, then if its an iced doughnut, the icing goes on top of the glaze. Its pretty much eating sugar with a side of fried bread.
