There was one planned for the project on bounded by Beech, Rochester, Aberdeen and Preston (huge gravel parking lot). It was approved, but the developer (Arnon) withdrew the application and are looking to rework the project.

I'm pretty sure the next phase of this one (the 2 high rise towers that will be next to the highway) is supposed to have a grocery store.
That would be an incredible location for a grocery store. They would capture a lot of Carleton students in addition to Little Italy.
I think I would prefer Gladstone Village, closer to the station, though Mosaiq is more central to the area. In an ideal World, Little Italy would have two grocery stores, one on each side of the Queensway.

No pics as I was on the bike, but the stacked towns appear to be getting framed out now (and fast). Very excited to see cladding start to go up!

I wonder if they will go straight into the highrises after this wraps up. It's so awesome seeing all this affordable housing going up in the area, and very high quality builds...a place people will be proud to call home.

Some of the white/beige brick has started going up on the smaller townhouses, but didn't snap a picture of them. Both of the larger buildings are nearly done being covered in blue skin and some framing for the ground floor lobbies are underway.

I love all the affordable housing here. I just hope they roll right into the highrises.
