I'm looking forward to this stretch of Waterfront Trail opening, although I'm not expecting much of a view on the land side when it does. Things will change when the slumlords start to sell their properties.

What this area really needs besides more parkland is a dense retail strip with a lot of offices. I'm not talking about crazy density, I don't expect that, I'm not sure what a good comparison would be. But I'm referring to 5/10 story buildings with retail and commercial use at grade. This area has no heart currently, parks just don't cut it on their own. Whatever retail that exists today, though interesting to a certain degree is not nearly dense enough to create a 'center'
