"the only nice buildings that can be built in Edmonton are educational and (sometimes) civic buildings". Really? Is that true?Excited for the progress on this, since apparently the only nice buildings that can be built in Edmonton are educational and (sometimes) civic buildings.
I think it’s a slight exaggeration but in terms of really nice buildings built recently in Edmonton, so many of them are educational and civic. Most new libraries, fire stations, rec centres, Uni Commons, Allard Hall, City Hall. It’s obviously all subjective but many of the projects seem to have decent architectural thought put into them, whereas many private builds don’t so much. Again, not entirely true in either case, but there’s a theme."the only nice buildings that can be built in Edmonton are educational and (sometimes) civic buildings". Really? Is that true?
Now if we could only do something with our very prominent downtown library. I suppose there are exceptions to most generalizations.I think it’s a slight exaggeration but in terms of really nice buildings built recently in Edmonton, so many of them are educational and civic.
