This project is more substantial than I first thought as the building is quite deep and there is an addition on the front that reminds me of HP’s building on Ossington. Big patio going in front. Taken 12 August.

I walked along College from Lansdowne to Bathurst a few weeks ago and there seemed to be a higher number of empty storefronts compared to other retail stretches in the city. The strip between Lansdowne and Dufferin, in particular, seemed quite bad. Is this noticeable to anyone else?

Open!

We need more pizazz, bring on the purple brick buildings!
The only purple building in Greyoronto that I can literally think of is on High Park Avenue just south of Dundas in the Junction, and even that is more of an eggplant.

I mean, just look at this joke - people are actually paying their mortgages and buying groceries and dining out on King West in douchey lounges by having "designed" stuff like this as a career. It defies explanation. My god. The crusty body shop had more character. Welcome to anti-Towered world. Like, it makes me feel like an idiot for not going into design myself if this is what passes off as hot and trendy.

"What I shit is better than anything you could ever think up!"

A moment of silence for the Big Bop. No matter how much that building has cleaned up and physically improved on the restoration with that furniture store I've never set foot inside before, it signifies a changing of the tides on much of downtown

I miss that place too. It was a gritty dump but I had so much fun there. Played a show in the Holy Joe's section (yes I was in a band 😄 ) Attended live shows, raves, fetish nights...

I wonder if King Toronto is re-using any of the Big Bop's glass blocks from a dump somewhere ;)

The Fantail Brothers at College & Dufferin will be closing up with their last day on March 22, 2025. Not my barbershop but on Google they have 146 reviews and all 5 star ratings, which is quite the achievement.
