But that accident had nothing to do with the monorail itself...................an outside crane fell on the line. Monorails have proven themselves to be very safe and reliable just ask the Japanese.

I think SkyTrolley would actually fir very well into the streets and would provide the true rapid transit the suburban areas need but without the disruption of LRT.

Actually, the train derailed due to construction workers failing to remove a clamp from the track. The incident with the crane occurred in 2008 and did not involve a crane falling on the tracks and was instead caused by the monorail vehicle colliding with a crane truck.
