They should wait for confirmation of the Alto route and station before selling.

Drove by the other day and the site was very active.
 
So phase 1 is all they plan on building?

Seems like it. A + B will still be built by them, and then buildings C, D, F, G are for sale.
Seems like those buildings can now be other things too like senior living, hotel, etc.

On the other hand, if it means that another developer can start sooner on the other parcels to get the whole area completed quicker, then I guess that would be a positive.

So happy to see two going up at once. We need more of this. Slow moving projects aren't going to help in a housing crisis.
The housing crisis term being thrown around is open for debate. This development does not include 'affordable units' The crisis is affordable housing as that vacancy rate is at around 1.5% for said units. New rental builds within the last 5 years have an over supply with a vacancy rate of 6% and have developers reducing rentals costs as well as offering free months of rent on certain lease terms. All levels of government need to get involved to help out with the affordability issue. Developers face so many red tape costs that they cannot offer rental fees at a reduced rate.
