I am the first to admit I'm impatient but why can't the city be completed with the work it did last year on the north side of Jasper Avenue between 109-114 strrets.
Trees are still missing in a few spots as well as lots of shrubs and plants. And the landscaping beds they did end of season last year are underwhelming as far as I'm concerned- especially compared to the valley line lrt planting or what they are doing in Blatchford..
I also wish they would replace trees that did not make it over the winter. There are three dead trees between 110-111 streets.
There are still no bike racks. I've inquired with the City twice about that with no response. Someone had their bike chained to bus stop sign.
Finally, and remember I'm impatient, but why does this have to be a six year project to complete between 109-124 streets. That's the same amount of time as the entire valley line west lrt project.
anyone looked at the new landscaping in the medians on 99th street or the new feature sidewalk pylons and poles? the best thing you can say about how they’re looking already is that they foreshadow what the low level bridge looks like and vice versa.
Something interesting items popped up at 97 and Jasper. Crews were digging down for some power lines and came across a lot of old metal. closer look indicates maybe an old stable or black smith shop. Hoped they called the historic branch.
Well it looks like PCL will already have to “re-do” the brand new north side of Jasper at 109th street due to all the shenanigans there today with the stolen water truck tearing it all up
