What a difference having a retail space occupied makes! Taken 9 September.

Krispy Kreme on the weekend looked close to opening. Windows were clear and most of the furnishings looked complete.

This was news to me concerning the office building on the northeast corner of Sherbourne/Gerrard.

To Go Cafe has replaced POP Coffee/The Anarchist at 190 Jarvis St. They do Asian-style fruit lattes and weird macarons, and their menu is pretty overwhelming! They seem to have a following in the city and will probably do well with the student crowd. Soft open starts day, buy one get one free all weekend. My partner and I grabbed a Sparkling Grape Americano and a Banana Latte earlier, new flavour combinations for both of us. We also can't tell if that's a coffee bean or a peach in their logo.

Yeah, this is probably the only way a cafe can make a go of it in the area, with Tim Hortons, Starbucks and Avenue right at the corner. I imagine Avenue doing okay only because it’s the only one with a real food menu and places to actually sit.

The Anarchist was closed since the Christmas holidays; I’m surprised that it was never formally evicted (no termination of lease notice that I ever saw).
