Boy oh boy was Hallowe'en really something! I mean if you can't be in T.O, Mississauga sure places a distant second! We had it all this Hallow's night!
MISSISSAUGA WENT ALL OUT!
By far the best part of this October 31st was the Hallowe'en-decked Mississauga City Hall. I mean, what can I say?.... I always love it when Art Imitates Life!
I heard about the Safe Halloween Night at the award-winning Mississauga Living Arts Centre sponsored by the award-winnning Mississauga International Children's Festival.
So I decided to drop by.
Sure enough there were kids there!
Including this funny-looking kid with horns that none of us were that sure about so we-all kept a respectful distance.
Three Mississauga Commissioners even showed up to grace us with their presence.
Tasteful Corporate award-winning decorations festooned all the festoons. Small Corporate table flags were given out to the first 10,000 kids who showed at the door in full costume. I grabbed the last two (flags, not kids) --
--and posed with my imaginary friend. I'm the one of the left. (Photo kindly taken by a Peel Regional Police officer)
I'm glad I chose the costume I did. Several kids waved and said "Hi" and I said "Hi" back.
From the adults I got a number of "You work for the City?" (Of course, I answered. I love leaving a trail of confusion in my wake.)
Last, I was REALLY impressed with the kid who came dressed as a fully-accessible Mississauga transit bus.
