There was an internal report that detailed pushing the completion date back by 6+ years....So much for all those folks who keep telling everyone/themselves electrification of the GO network is only a few years away.

In the eyes of the report, no. Internally, yesView attachment 609203
Not in the eyes of this report... this was just released last month and up until then it was still listed as 2025..... I understand a couple years but to shift by over half a decade is just disheartening and extremely disappointing
To be clear that date is procedural so they dont need to keep going back to council to get sidewalk closures approved. It was set as 2025, but that doesnt matter.View attachment 609203

Looks like they were moving on the 19th too. Second clip, 23 seconds in.The Metrolink F59PH units that GO bought are on the move, headed to North Bay for an extensive rebuild.
Those are the F59PHIs headed down to Mexico!Looks like they were moving on the 19th too. Second clip, 23 seconds in.
ghettonessBack to the future.
Which one is the Ex-GO F59PH? They seen better days.. can't wait to see them in the GO livery when freshen up! I wonder if one of them is gonna retain the K5LA's? P2's?
With low information soundbites like this, you would make a perfect fit for a high ranking political office.ghettoness
Dont forget this is a govt agency. Our charitable donation are our tax dollars and fare payments. I don't recall any other passenger rail operator around where we are so desperate and cheap for equipment that we would be forced to buy our ancient retired and sold equipment back just to run it on our lines again. These locos are approaching 40 years old for crying out loud!! The money it takes to buy and refurb them is probably close to getting newer locos. With low information soundbites like this, you would make a perfect fit for a high ranking political office.
Or perhaps you'd like to personally make a charitable donation to GO so that they don't have to operate ghetto equipment?
Yeah, I thought not. Feel free to keep your head down when a train with one of these is entering the station and move on.
