Seemingly on track if you look at the 2025-26 milestones! But the last two for 2026-27 sound unrealistic at this point.

Maybe there could be enough done on the new station to allow public passage by end of 2027 but better to keep it closed to expedite that work to 100% (including the canopy). Delayed TBM launch will certainly get in the way of any more prep for the OL track.

Wouldn't the completion of the station building also include the completion of the canopy ? Are those two seperate structures? Doesn't a completion of building mean the roof is completed as well or am I missing something....

Also what trains will be exhibition station? 2 OL trains + 1 LSE & 1 LSW ?

Ontario line and Lakeshore West. Lakeshore East trains become Lakeshore West at Union.

I'm not sure what you mean by 1 and 2.

Why does go need 4 tracks? Is that normal? I guess 2 are for express trains or something? Thanks for all the replies and inputs
Yes. The two middle ones are express and can be used by GO, VIA and CN

Having platforms for all four tracks gives a lot of flexibility for routing trains, and adds throughput. At the moment, when one train is stopped at the platform, a following train has to wait until the previous train leaves before it can make its stop…a one train at a time proposition.

LSW has the highest GO ridership and frequency and so no surprise it requires the most capacity. The extra tracks and platforms allow the operation of several unique service patterns, some skipping more stops than others.

Following construction at USEP, Ex, (contiguously the wye at Canpa) and Long Branch there will be a dedicated 4 tracks all the way from Union to Long Branch. With some more bridges widened, grade separations and station improvements, the continuous 4 tracks could eventually reach Burlington.

Just for the record. Exhibition will be basically the west end version of east harbour.
East harbour where both LSE and ST trains stop there. Least that was the plan.
With Exhibition all trains will stop there including express trains.

Least that was the plan a few years ago, dunno if that changed

2 for OL although only one platform will likely be used as long as this is the terminus.
If they come close to the kind of frequency this line can do, I'd think they'd be using one for drop-offs and the other for boarding (I suppose you could do drop offs there at times, if there's a gap, or late-night).

Ideally it would have been a middle platform. But that boat has sailed. Let's see how Metrolinx messes this up.
