I'm not sure what it was. I happened to be passing by when they were there....I'm guessing some sort of cycling club. Their flags read 'Live free or Drive'

Mad Max Ride group, general premise is get dressed up and have a fun, family friendly alternative transportation group social rides in inner city. I think this one was in collaboration with Beakerhead I think, but they've done others too. A bunch of similar groups out there through Cyclepalooza, Tweed Ride, Scorchers, Calgary Bicycle Club, Kit and Ace etc. loads of group riding going on in the summer in this city of all different flavours.
