Here is an interesting idea for a patio on the side, rather than on the sidewalk. It seems to work well here.

One of the few places in this city that's made an effort to push cocktails into a more creative direction. Frankly, some of the usual suspects have really rested on their laurels and/or took a step back in quality post-Covid.

A trend in SoCal that seems to be competitive between drink outlets is between Mocktail efforts -- no alcohol except for occasional splashes of Liqueurs for flavor

Transit Smokehouse & BBQ is closing its doors at the Transit Hotel as of today, and will reopen at 10732 Whyte Ave as Midnight Rooster. No word on what happens with The Rooster and its owner (Rahim Jaffer).

Let's hope not. That location sees lots of traffic, albeit cars and not people walking, but the hotel has a parking lot, so that isn't really an excuse. BBQ places have a tough go, especially lately with the rising cost of beef and pork (meat, in general).

Also, the restuarant just leased space and didn't buy the building. It's still been owned by the same group/person since 1986...
