Friend took me to Kobachi last week in Sherwood Park (Festival Place). Hands down best Japanese experience I've ever had. They specialize in Ocean Wise seafood, and don't add sugar and other preservatives to the dishes. Their 3 for $$ (can't remember price!) small plates is a great was to taste some of their dishes, and they have 6-8 specials each day.

Very small, recommend reservations or go outside of dinner hours.

Stopped by Desi-Licious for brunch today.
The masala dosa was fine eats. My only gripe was the lack of South Indian coffee.

We've eaten there several times and although the service can be glacially slow, if you have the time to wait, the food never disappoints.

I saw an ad on Indeed for positions at one of these "coming soon to YEG" - heard of them - but have a few colleagues that swear by them in TO. However, TO restaurants usually crash and burn in AB - Kelsey's, Shoeless Joes (SP had one), a bunch of Irish/British Pubs etc etc.......

I don't know anything about them, but just the word Muskoka in the name says something here. It probably has a lot of meaning in TO, but is fairly meaningless here.

So they have to get beyond a regional focus. I don't know, maybe that is the problem with others from TO, who just assume what works and makes sense there will elsewhere.

We shoved BP’s down their Easterner throats for so long, now it’s payback…..

If you're in the hood you should try Golden Sparrow next time. Top quality food and friendly service.

My only 2 gripes with Carne Asada:
- their hours suck
- sit-down location is way too small and cramped

They are planning to take over the abandoned Subway space next door once they are more profitable but who knows when that will be.

They have a really cute covered patio out front and a nice place to stand and eat if you are rushing through.

Hours are business hours as the nighttime traffic simply is not there at the moment.
