Kids put on plays acting out the issue, in a few schools there were days where all the kids wore a certain colour out of their own free will to protest against bullying. Basically putting peer pressure and numbers on the side of being against bullying.

not bad. they should also incorporate some psychology, like how bullies are usually insecure little pussies who try taking away any possible negative attention off of themselves by inflicting it on others and how bullies are the small dogs that make up for their inadequacies by barking annoyingly to show off.

heck,(since we are on topic of social education) they could even make a huge dent into racism by teaching that ethnicity and culture aren't things to be proud of because pride is for things that are accomplished, not things that happen by accident. if you're proud of your default characteristics, that would mean that you haven't accomplished anything worthy to be proud of with your life because if you did, you wouldn't be wasting your time being proud of accidental attributes.

see psychology. :)

They don't want people to smoke marijuana, yet alcohol and tobacco is still legal. A mixed message...

if enough people want something, they will have it. that's why smoking and drinking is legal, IMO, just one of the reasons.

Another reason is that alcohol and tobacco are more difficult to produce and therefore can be more easily controlled by the government. They are less likely to be grown and sold tax free by private citizens which hurts the bottom line. Alcohol and cigarettes are so much more dangerous than pot it's funny to even make a comparison yet the government tries to go after the latter and lump it in with hard drugs while quietly blessing and controlling the former.
